Deadline

Countdown 2030 Europe (hereafter “the Consortium” or “C2030E”) is a Consortium of 15 leading European non-governmental organizations advocating towards European donors for increased funding and support to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), including Family Planning (FP), in international cooperation of 13 European countries and the European Union. The secretariat of the Consortium is hosted by IPPF European Network.

The Countdown 2030 Europe Consortium, with the support of an external consultant, has developed a 3-year Decolonisation Action Plan 2023-2026 on integrating an anti-racist, de-colonial and inclusion lens, with a clear set of objectives and targets, as well as indicators for measuring progress towards them.

Within this Action Plan, great attention is given to a collective (un)learning and reflection journey to ensure the Consortium is informed and intentional about internal shifts within its structure/functioning and its partners (including in terms of knowledge about colonization and SRHR, advocacy priority choices, language, messages, strategies, internal ways of working, structures, etc.).

Aims of the consultancy

To facilitate a safe reflection space and trigger conversations focused on questioning the power dynamics the Consortium exists within, performs and perpetuates.

The session will enable the group to reflect on the ways C2030E exercises power and to engage with questions about accountability and re-envision how power should be utilized in the Consortium. Mapping the myriad of ways in which the group exercises power should then inform a conversation on how to shift power.

The group should come back to this exercise annually to examine if and how its practices are changing over time.

Task

Run a 1,5 day reflection workshop for about 17 people to explore how the Consortium exercises power with respect to SRHR in international cooperation, and how the Consortium can over time, shift power. Please see below Terms of Refence for more information.

Timeline

The reflection workshop is set to take place in person in Madrid (Spain) on 18th – 19th January 2024.

Application Procedure

Please send a CV outlining relevant past experience, an offer including the proposed outline of the workshop, methodology used and suggested number of days and budget proposal by Sunday 19th of November EOB to Chiara Cosentino ([email protected]).
